When I was pondering this weeks’ challenge, I came across this article in my inbox. I’ve been rattling my brain for an “E” topic, and here this one just shows right up. I’ve been rearranging, and tending to, my various altars this past week. I started with a general overhaul of my room, and with that has come altars wanting to go up, others to come down, and yet more wanting different space. When I finish I’m hoping that there will be room again for my angelic altar (which there hasn’t been for too long). Enochian magick is really just a branch of angel magick, perhaps some will say that it’s the only angel magick – I am not that person though. Continue reading
About this time last year I was in deep contemplation on which deity(ies) I would be dedicating my public Priestesshood to. Now that we’re nearing in on Ordination for the next round of Initiate’s, it shouldn’t actually surprise me that I’ve got a few more knocking on my door. (Or in the case of some – moving right on in.) Continue reading
This was my second time attending PantheaCon, and I am SO grateful that I had the opportunity. I handed my toddler over to my dad, by way of my grandmother, and went off to have a good 4 days to myself. It really was a mini-vacation, and it was great. Continue reading
The one thing that I can’t do without in my spell work is a candle. To this day I don’t think I have ever worked any magick without at least a little chime candle. To me, having that flame present is a physical representation of my intention, it gives me something to focus on and to bring my awareness to. Continue reading
Balance is a big part of our lives. Especially being within the pagan/spiritual community – it’s a HUGE part of our lives. As above, so below. Within, without. Light, dark. Night, day. The list goes on really. Balance is essential.
This week I went and signed up for a YMCA membership – my first gym membership in 8 years. I did it so that I could resume taking yoga classes with an actual teacher. I did it so that I could bring my body into balance with my mind. Continue reading
I happened to start my moon cycle this week, and though it an appropriate topic. The menstrual cycle alone is considered magick amongst various communities. After all it is the universal symbol that a young woman is physically capable of bearing life, and it is a monthly reminder of that. Beyond that, it was considered a phenomenon that a woman is capable of bleeding for a week straight and not die. This blood is precious in certain magickal rites. The menstrual blood specifically has been used for many ages to get, and keep, a lover – to prevent a lover from straying. Continue reading
Avalon… a mystical place – full of magick and lore. I’ve always felt a soul connection to this place, and one day I’d like to go there. I know the reality isn’t going to be anywhere near to what I’ve always imagined, but I feel the need to go to that place and just absorb the energies there. A good friend of mine sent me this link that has some useful information. Go figure she finds it within 5 minutes of me saying “Hey, if you’re bored – I’m looking for this, and you’re good at research.”, when I had spent a good amount of time looking for it myself. Continue reading
